The Hawaii DOE began surveying teachers and students in May and those results have been out for weeks. Now the family survey results are out. All three survey results can be viewed on this dashboard.

Realizing that 32,572 of the 180,000 families responded to the survey and 58% of these were families of elementary students, a couple of quick takeaways are that:

17% of the families surveyed want a virtual only option for school.
45% of the families want at least part of the instruction to be virtual
39% want fully onsite school this fall.

As our Parents for Public Schools of Hawai‘i family survey in April and May showed, our district families get information from their teachers and schools in many different ways. The district does have a portal connected to its Infinite Campus student information system, and Infinite Campus off communications within the district here.
