Working together with schools, our tours of middle and intermediate schools are designed to help families with children in 5th and 6th grade explore and learn about the public school options in their community. Families hear about the school’s unique vision, the various programs and activities that may be offered, see, and sometimes hear examples of student’s work, meet and talk to staff, and visit the campus, classrooms, and facilities. One of the goals of the tours is to support families by addressing their questions and helping them make connections with staff at their child’s new school.PPSHI uses this opportunity to meet school administrators and staff including developing contacts with PCNC and PTA or PTO organizations needed to form and sustain school-community partnerships.
