The annual Children and Youth Day event originally scheduled for October 4 of this year has been postponed until October 2, 2016.

PPSHI has had a presence at this event since 2012. Last year we met with parents from all over the island and received 62 submissions for our 1,000 Family Voices project. We will be hard-pressed to find a way to collect as many diverse voices this year, but we will do our best! We look forward to continue supporting this great event and participate in the planning efforts for next year.

“Our hope is that each family, this year, will set aside October 4, 2015, to do something extra special with their children and teenagers and that organizations in the community will set aside this day to do something educational, fun and special for Hawaii’s children and youth statewide.

Children and Youth Month (CYM) events will still continue and a modified CYM calendar will be posted as soon as possible at:  https://HawaiiCYD.org
Children and Youth Day was created to celebrate all the good and positive things that our keiki and ‘opio do in Hawaii and create opportunities to inspire and be inspired, encourage and help them explore their interests and talents, learn more about the world around them, and have fun, educational experiences that create lasting positive childhood memories for our young people.  “
