In this FREE workshop series, we invite you all to join us as we develop the skills and strategies to build peace within, with others, and in service to the community. Each morning, our brilliant co-founders, Dr. Maya Soetoro and Dr. Kerrie Urosevich, along with an inspiring crew of peacebuilding guest speakers, will ground us in peacebuilding knowledge and best practices. Each afternoon, weʻll break into small facilitated action planning groups to launch peace action plans of our own.
This year, our series will take place at Pacific Buddhist Academy (1754 Lusitana St, Honolulu, HI 96813) from 8:30am-3:30pm on the following dates: 10/22/22, 12/3/22, 1/21/23. The three sessions build upon each other, so we ask that you try your best to commit to attending all three. All participants will be served a light breakfast and lunch at each of these sessions — free of charge. There is ample free parking on site. Note: We will be requiring masks to be worn when not eating/drinking.
FOR DOE EDUCATORS SEEKING PDE3 CREDIT: DOE Educators seeking PDE3 credit will also be required to attend an additional session on the dates indicated on the flyer above to achieve the required course hours to earn PDE3 credit. In addition to registering here, DOE Educators seeking PDE3 credit must also register on the DOE PDE3 website, as you do for all PDE3 opportunities. Registering on the COP website does not guarantee you a spot, as being accepted on the PDE3 site is the official acceptance into the workshop.
